Cash, cashier's check or money order is required to pay all fines and court costs. No personal checks will be accepted.
Forms of Payment
If you are mailing your payment, please submit a money order or cashier's check and a copy of the paperwork you received in court. If you would like to pay in person, you may come to the first floor of the Sumter County Judicial Center, Clerk of Courts Office. For directions to the Clerk's Office, click here. Payments in person can be also be made by Credit Card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and Check Cards with the appropriate insignia. Credit Card payments will not be accepted over the phone.
Inability to Pay Fine
The Clerk's Office cannot pardon, defer or alter fines imposed by the Court. If you are having a problem and are on probation, you must contact your probation officer. If you are not on probation, you must contact, in writing, the Judge who imposed your sentence.
